Freshman Eli Carver pitched a no-hitter last Friday to lead Macon County to a matinee win over county-rival Red Boiling Springs at MCHS.
The Tigers followed with an 8-7 win over Clay County later in the day to complete their doubleheader sweep.
Carver walked two and struck out eight in his seven-inning outing.
Macon County scored two runs apiece in the first, second and fifth innings, finishing with five hits.
Matthew Wheeley had two hits as he and Hayes Polston doubled as the Bulldogs dropped to 7-11-1.
Against Clay County, Macon County scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning to complete a comeback from being down 7-3 in the fourth inning. The Bulldogs erased a 3-1 Tiger lead with six scores in the fourth.
The Tigers totaled 10 hits, including three by Kaden Woodard and two each by Hayden Dean and Braylon Flowers. Dean drove in two runs while Polston and Chase Keene doubled.
Wheeley pitched three innings and picked up the win. Keene pitched the first 3 1/3 innings and was charged with four runs (three earned) on no hits with five walks and four strikeouts. Landon Connor gave up three runs (two earned) on one hits and a walk in 2/3 innings.
The trio gave up just two hits as the Tigers improved to 13-8-1 going into the District 9-3A series with Portland early this week. Macon County will host Allen County-Scottsville at 5:30 p.m. today.
